  1. I was just thinking about BHCO, actually - I can't find any info on their progress! Hopefully somebody can chime in - I hope they don't get bogged down with reservations too fast...

I quickly glanced at the May issue of Food and Wine and it's listed as a must eat in Toronto. Great press for a place that isn't even open yet.

    2. Last I heard from bugging our server at The Hoof was "sometime in April"

Early May would be awesome! I'm wondering when they will be confident enough in their dates to start accepting reservations... I feel like the first few weeks (months?) are going to fill up quickly!

I agree, but hopefully someone on here gets into the soft opening or something and can give us a little tease of what to expect!

            1. re: table4onthefly

We don't allow reviews of soft openings, as explained in our posting etiquette at

FYI - Then you need to remove all of the TOCA reviews b/c they are still in "soft opening" stage.

don't know about that...i was there the other night and, if it's "soft" then i really don't know what that means. just a regular night, as far as I'm concerned. made a reservation, ate, went home.

                  1. re: grandgourmand

well, technically, they're still not "officially" open (according to them - yes?). And if they're still calling it a soft-launch, then ...

                    1. re: jlunar

As long as a restaurant is open to the general public and charging regular prices with a regular menu, it's fine to post about it.

      2. I walked by on Friday, lots of stuff strewn all over the dining room, still in reno mode.
