Need reservation for ten people next Monday night

Victoria105 Apr 12, 2011 06:28 AM

Need to make a reservation for ten people for next Monday night in San Francisco. Looking for something middle of the road, not four star but still nice with a decent atmosphere and good food. Any suggestions on where we could try - want to avoid the Fisherman's Wharf area if possible. Tried Slanted Door but they will only let you select three entrees for the table when there are six or more people. What's up with that? Appreciate any suggestions as I am running out of time. Thanks

There's a table for 10 at Bar Bambino that I hope to fill someday. Park Chow on 9th Ave is casual but the atmosphere upstairs at night is great for a large party.

Skimming Opentable, you might try 1300 Fillmore, 54 Mint, Bar Bambino, B44, Hayes St. Grill, Kokkari, La Mar, Palio d'Asti, Sens. Also, Delfina and Incanto are open Mondays and take reservations, but not through OT.

54 Mint. Been there a couple of times but last time was a year ago & it appears the menu has changed (don't know if there was a chef change) and looks a bit more mainstream. Some of the items we enjoyed were a clear rice & chicken broth based soup (dd loved it so much, she ordered twice), pasta with pork sugo (may have been duck), and grilled sardines. Charming yet contemporary space.

I agree, plus they have some really big tables that would actually be good for parties of 10.

How about Grand Cafe? Or you could go to Opentable.com, enter the date and time and number in the party and leave restaurant name blank and scroll through whatever pops up.

I tried that and there are lots of options on OpenTable -- too many for me to cull a list from.
