All Seasons in Diamond Heights--really good take out dim sum. How is the restaurant?

For the past few weeks, we have been getting the take out dim sum from All Seasons on Diamond Heights. The restaurant used to be Yet Wah. The take out dim sum is great, much better than usual take out dim sum. Very good Har Gow, stuffed with a few fat shrimp each. Really good beef balls and tasty char siu bao. Has anyone tried the restaurant either for dim sum or dinner?

It is a good option for Cantonese in that area, which is a bit barren for Asian food. When I went, the dim sum was on carts, but there were having problems expediting them. We spent a fair amount of time wondering "Where's the food?" which was compounded by the fact that they weren't taking any orders. That was close to opening day, so I assume they've fixed that problem. Wrappers on the dumplings were good, but the fillings were a little flat.

Agreed that the dim sum is good to very good, albeit expensive. Dinner there is also good but beware that they have several menus. If you are Caucasian they will automatically give you a menu with all the usual generic Chinese choices, i.e. Mongolian Beef, General Tsao's Chicken etc. Ask for their regular menu and you will receive a large book with a glorious assortment of exotic delicacies. Stir fried Silk worms, a whole page of Abalone choices, Frogs, Turtles, Live Shrimp Etc. They also have a specials menu that is in Chinese so I can't speak to that. Service was also kind and efficient. Certainly worth a try. Quite a different world than Yet Wah was, but sorry, no Karaoke.

Wow, I'm surprised but excited to try it. Haven't seen stir-fried silkworms outside of China.

I always thought Yet Wah's takeout was better than dine in. Too bad about the karaoke.
