Where are you heading out to dinner from the list and why? www.richmondrestaurantweek.com

Acacia and Mazzanine look good so far. I just moved to Richmond, and have only scratched the surface of the food scene, so advice and direction would be appreciated.

  1. I don't do Restaurant Week, but in that list the places I would want to go are Millie's, Acacia, Juleps, Six Burner, Lehja and Lulu's.

The places I would definitely avoid are Mezzanine, Rowland, and Sam Miller's .

I usually don't do restaurant week, but after a long hiatus, I'm doing Julep's and Six Burner this year. I guess we are on the same page Janet!

Acacia sounds good, but I feel like the deal isn't much better than their weekly prix fixe anyway.

I'd say try anywhere you think sounds good, just realize there's potential that what you'll be getting during restaurant week may not truly represent the restaurant. Some restaurants get overwhelmed, and although I hate to say it, I think some just don't try as hard during this week.

That said, I had a really good restaurant week meal at Zeus Gallery one year...

    2. Already have reservations at Acacia and Six Burner. Completely agree with Janet's recs as well! I am, however, a fan of Mezzanine.
