Unique Woodbridge area dinner spot

Hi there,

My bridesmaids are hosting my bridal shower at the Skylark Diner in Edison and I'm trying to find a good spot for drinks/food later when the men will join up with us. I like fresh, locally inspired food. I really like craft beer and upscale pub fare, but what I'm truly looking for is simply good food with a decent atmosphere, not cheesy/cliche chain restaurants. Post your favorite locally owned spots, not too pricey please. Anything in the Woodbridge area, probably as far out as New Brunswick. Lay it on me....

I don't know if you've been to the Skylark yet, but I think the guys would like it, too.

If you want a beer place, the food at JJ Bitting Brewing was pretty good and the guys would love it.

JJ Bitings has good bar food but I would avoid their entrees !

Little Spain looks awesome! More like that please! Doesn't have to have good beer, that would just be a bonus!

I don't know about their beer selection, but Little Spain Restaurant has excellent Iberian food, decent ambience, a bar and is on Amboy Ave in Woodbridge.

I think it's on New Brunswick Ave in Fords . Woodbridge is too large an area to be able to pinpoint anything there .

Old Bay in New Brunswick would also work. They have a good bar scene with a good beer selection and tasty cajun bites.

jj bittings in woodbridge has a pretty good selection of home brewed beer and has a pretty nice dining room and bar. Idk about "upscale".. ie, they have cheese fries and wings, but its not like fridays.
