Hello, fellow Chowhounders,

I am planning to dine at Bacchanalia and Woodfire Grill for dinner later this week during my business trip to Atlanta since I thought they had the best tasting menu. Now I am in need of a lunch spot near Emory or anywhere in the Atlanta area as I have a car. Ideally I would like to have a lovely lunch and walk around the neighborhood for shopping. Any suggestions?

I suggest the Virginia-Highlands for eating, walking, and shopping.
Lots of options for lunch...depends what you want.

I second this idea, especially since the Dogwoods and azaleas are blooming right now. Atkins Park has a lot of history (ask your server about it) and consistently good food. Murphy's is fantastic and a great atmosphere, especially on a sunny day. Pura Vida would be another option, or I heard they launched a sandwich shop in back now that is really good. Start at Virginia Ave. intersection with North Highland and walk South down N. Highland all the way to Ponce de Leon, or do the exact opposite, and you'll have great shopping and food.
