Graduation Day Brunch in Bethesda, Georgetown or DuPont

My daughter will be graduating from American University in a few weeks (on a Saturday). After the ceremony we'd like to take the family to a nice brunch/lunch in the Bethesda, Georgetown or DuPont Circle. We're expecting 10-12 people. All suggestions appreciated.

First off congrats to your daughter on her graduation!

I'm not as familiar with the Bethesda dining scene but a few places in the Dupont/Georgetown area you might want to check out are Ris, Tabard Inn, Blue Duck Tavern, Cafe Dupont, and Darlington House. Either way this is a large group on a busy day....I would make a reservation ASAP.

The only place I can think of offhand that does Saturday brunch in Bethesda is Mon Ami Gabi, which I'd say is ok-- not bad but not particularly good.

And I echo Elyssa's congrats and good luck!

I've enjoyed brunches at the Tabard Inn, Founding Farmers, Firefly and while it's in Friendship Heights, not Bethesda (but closer to AU!), Lia's has a very good brunch. Lia's also has a lot of outside space should the weather and your interest be inclined.

        Here's a somewhat similar thread I started. http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/764773

We ended up at Blue Duck Tavern and enjoyed ourselves.
