Under the radar post-Sun Run brunch place

I forgot to make reservations for our post Sun Run brunch. Anything within sight of the route and on main thorough fares will be packed. Any good brunch locations that you think might fall under the radar on the day for our group of 4?

What do you want to eat?

There are a number of options around Cambie & Broadway a short skytrain ride from downtown.

My choice would be Cafe Marulilu.

If a low key gastropub appeals, in that same vicinity (well, a few blocks east), the Three Lions Cafe does a nice brunch - including a full English breakfast.

One year some friends were in the same situation and ended up taking a boat across to Granville Island having oatmeal with fruit and cream from the Stock Market. They sat outside on a sunny day and felt very VIRTUOUS (personally I'd rather have bacon after the endeavour, but still).

Further to the Granville Island idea-sitting out on the deck today it struck me that Sandbar would work well.
