Southwest corner Preston/Frankford New restaurant?

I noticed that the building that used to be Juan's (among multiple other restaurants) is being remodeled. Any information on what is going in there?

We ate there the first week it was open. The food is quite good, we sampled everything for breakfast, and the grits were amazing. The only hitch is that everything is a la carte -- an omelet is served with nothing else on the plate. It made it an expensive breakfast.

I went to eat there the other day. Food was great and so was the service. I like Eggs Benedict and Expressos and both were delicious in one place. You guys should go try it!

I finally made it there and I was thoroughly impressed. Passing by it everyday just made the suspense build, but it was totally worth it. The omelet and a cup of coffee from the Japanese slow dripping coffee maker is now my regular breakfast there. I look forward to trying out the alcohol bar soon.

Ah, this is the place a foodie friend was telling me about. I see the house Benedict comes with pancetta and challah ... sounds pretty good :)

I saw a sign that says COFFEE HOUSE CAFE SERVING BREAKFAST AND LUNCH. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Yes, its a few months away.

Will it be "home cooking" type of food or upscale? Is it a chain or stand alone? Do they have a website?

The menu will be unusual with a strong coffee bent. Emphasis on breakfast and lunch, no dinner. No web presence yet

I wish them luck, they better have lot's of start up money rat holed. But I'm predicting a 6 month lifespan at most. Hope I'm wrong
I have a friend in the restraunt chain business and he said the demographics in that area are unbelievable, but it never translates to a successful venture. Thus ,all the failures in that area.

The owner is a former CEO of a VERY large company, and it's not a chain. I think it will do well.

There is a sign on the building that says follow us on Twitter, but they aren't posting anything. I was hoping that they would give some updates or teasers as to what they are going to serve, etc. Anything to encourage people to keep checking.

I am excited for them to open. It seems like building and remodeling projects always take longer then I think they should. I wish them luck

I miss Juan's. Hacenidia down the street is very bland. I hope it'a a Mexican joint, but that corner has some bad Mojo.
