Graduation restaurant - Baltimore

I will be graduating this May from Hopkins and 20 of my "closest" family members will be in town. The graduation is on a weekday in the mid-morning so we'd be looking for a place that could accommodate that many people in the early to mid afternoon. My parents are paying and I have not been given a price point. As nice as that is, I think it would be nice to keep it under $25 per person. Restaurants in the city would be most convenient and my family loves all types of food. Any suggestions?

Congratulations on your graduation. I would highly recommend Gertrude's Restaurant at the Baltmore Museum of Art, which is very conveniently, closely, located to the Hopkins campus.

Sine your big DAy is in May, the restaurant/museum has a beautiful outdoor garden/dining area, which may be perfect for your day of celebration.

The price point based on what you suggested, would truly be in line with your budget.

Hope my suggestion helps you somewhat. I'm certain other CHer's will come up with inventive suggestions. Good luck with your future and once again--CONGRATULATIONS!! FoiGras

I would avoid Gertrude's. Many others will have the same idea and that place gets noisy to the point where it's impossible to carry on a conversation when there are too many people there. The last meal I had there (in February) was also incredibly mediocre. I'm not even sure it's possible to eat there for under $25 a person too at least for dinner maybe it's possible at lunch.

I love City Cafe though the space might be tight for a group that size so you would need to check with them to see if it's possible.

While nothing particularly special in terms of food Red Star in Fells could handle that size group, has it's own parking, and definitely fits the price point (you'd even be able to get in some drinks too).

Other ideas that may or may not work but came to mind (haven't tried all of them so you might ask around if people have had good experiences): Blue Hill Tavern, Langermann's, The Wine Market, Sotto Sopra, Donna's Cross Keys, and Meli.
