Casual but Good on Broadway?

We're going to Caroline's on Broadway (Broadway and 50th) to see John Pinette tonight. We'd like to find a casual and not overly expensive place that nonetheless serves great food nearby for dinner. Any thoughts?

    Yakitori Totto is one of my favorite restaurants and it is on 55th and 8th.

      Toloache is right there, on 50th, b/t B'way & 8th. Delicious modern Mexican cuisine.

      The Bar Room at The Modern is a bit further away, on 53rd, b/t 5th & 6th, but definitely worth the little extra distance. We had a super lunch there last Sunday.
