I want to make my usual sour cream pound cake, but I have a tub of Fage yogurt (pint) that needs to be used up. The recipe is below, does anyone think I can use the Fage and it won't be a problem? any modifications? thanks!

1/2 lb. butter
3 cups sugar
1/2 pint sour cream
6 eggs
3 cups AP flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla

I'm not familiar with Fage, but I substitute sour dairy products all the time. You may need to drain it, if it's more watery than sour cream usually is, but otherwise it will be fine.

      I'd substitue that, no problem.

Fage would be great if it's full fat. It would work if it's less but not be as tasty. I don't care for it if it's fat free, though it does still work.
