One hit and One Miss

We went to Mama's Hawaiian BBQ on Speedway last weekend. Clean place, okay service - disappointing food. My Chicken Teriyaki plate lunch featured dry, very overcooked chicken, mediocre rice and just-okay mac salad. We won't be returning.

On the advice of friends we tried Shogun Sushi on Oracle for dinner. Wow! Fresh fish, reasonable prices and great atmosphere and service. We will be returning!

Couldn't agree with you more on Mama's. Absolutely horrible.

If you get the chance to head out to the eastside, visit Lani's for Hawaiian food. I've never had a bad meal there (though they are on vacation until Oct. 6th).

Will need to check out Shogun.
