Bettola in Birmingham

James Lewis, Bettola's chef has been named Best New Chef for 2011 by Food & Wine Magazine. Congrats to James! If you haven't tried Bettola, you must go! The pizzas are artisanal and the ingredients are so fresh.

      The standard refrain has been "six weeks" for several months now. I understand there were some personal delays but they are now making progress and we may be getting closer to some serious cured meats.

        Ok, because that's what I kept getting and I was starting to think maybe it was just a myth...I pass by everyday on my way to work and look longingly at the paper-covered windows...

            I recently spoke with someone who works there, who said the date has been pushed back until August or September. They've had frustrating setback after frustrating setback, but it sounds like it's going to be worth the wait.
