Covent Garden....

....in this city for only a day this time. Is there anything nibbly/lunch/dinner or goodies to take back north that I shouldn't miss?

I am aware that Hawksmoor Seven Dials is near by and also from a previous request that Hope and Greenwood sweet shop. Would appreciate any other pointers.

Thanks once more.

Off-topic here, limster - the best knife-shaved noodles I'd ever had anywhere was found in Liu Yi Ji Kaohsiung:

The Opera Tavern has been getting some good reviews.
I haven't been but it's owned by the same people as Salt Yard and if it's anywhere near the quality of Salt Yard then it's worth a visit.

Opera Tavern got a 5* recommendation in today's Metro newspaper. Apparently, the pork burger is a thing of beauty. I was going to add the name when I got home, but you beat me to it!

HelenB went, I think, and liked it. I love Salt Yard.

Neal's Yard. It's like the Cheese Shop sketch in reverse.

Les Deux Salons, Great Queen St and Terroirs are all worth a visit (although might be pushing it to get them all in in one day!). But Terroirs certainly fits the 'nibbly' brief, pop in for a glass of wine or three and have some great snacks
