B'day dinner in Boston
I'm celebrating my birthday in Boston on Saturday. I haven't been there in a few years so need help.Looking for a very unique experience witha very Boston feel. Love seafood/contemporary/Asian cuisines. Looking for a place in North End or Downtown Boston. Not very expensive (entrees ~$15) but fun atmosphere.

But main dishes (even assuming not including tax and tip) at $15? No way, not even close. At that price point, it is a little tricky -- especially for a 'very unique' experience (by definition, successful restaurants consistently repeat the experience a diner has, so not sure unique is what one is after). Somewhere in chinatown would maybe just about fit that price, but even the fish in tank places are going to be more expensive. For a truly unique (and delicious) birthday celebration, coming in well under budget, one could recommend a Speed dog. But it's a bit out of the way.
