Authentic Venetian Dining in May

  • 3

I am 21 years old and will be traveling to Italy in May.
I will be in Venice for three nights. The first night we are eating as a group but the next two nights we are on our own.
I am looking for a well-priced, good place to go for dinner.
The second night we need to eat in the Rialto Bridge area. The third night we need to eat near San Marco Piazza.
Any suggetions or help would be great.
Whether the menu is in Italian is not an issue.

Thanks!

    1. do you have a budget? Do you like/expect to be eating fish and seafood, which are the top Venetian specialties?

      1. From reading you post, the first night with your group is taken care of.
For the two nights on your own, if you can be more specific as to your budget and sort of ambience, ie, lively, a younger crowd, fine dining; also the days of the week you'll be there as many places are closed Sundays/Mondays. Venice is not very large, therefore, how important is it that you must be near the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco.
As jen kalb noted, traditional Venetian cooking is very much seafood base, therefore, if that is what you are interesting in.
If you can be specific regarding to the above, you'll get some good feedback that will fit what you are looking for.
