Food Trucks NYC

We are going to NYC April 20 for 5 night. My kids are coming (21-19-17). We want to see NYC as much as we can and try to grab and go lunch.

We have seen that NYC has lot's of Food Trucks. Should we trust them all? Are they all good?

We eat anything.

At night we are booking tickets for shows starting at 8 p.m.

So we will be looking at eating in places where the food is good but quick service. Any ideas?

For pre-theatre, most of the restaurants in the area are very used to patrons who have to be in and out in 1-1.5 hours. Just tell them your curtain time when reserving and again before you're seated, and you'll be fine. For this meal, it's most helpful to provide a cost range just for food in a specific dollar amount: $20 per person, $30 per person, etc. There are 5 of you, correct?

We are 5 for lunch and 3 for Dinner. My youngest son and husband are not coming to shows. Usually I like to spend around $20 per person for Dinner in Ottawa but in NYC I have no clue how much Dinner cost.

I'd say you can spend anywhere starting at $5 (street food) and up for dinner in NYC... $15-20pp is considered inexpensive/cheap eats for Manhattan. I'd say that $30-50 is midrange.

      2. in addition to the food trucks, check out the Shake Shack - 8th Ave @ 44th, I think. Danny Meyer's newest location for his burger joint. The original is in Madison Square Park.
