If you'll be in Sedona Tuesday through Saturday, I'd suggest Dan's Bistro or Cafe Elote (both closed Sunday and Monday). There are numerous reviews and comments on this board for Cafe Elote. Dan's Bistro is relatively new, is just terrific and has the bonus of being b.y.o.b. - in AZ you can find a good wine selection in most supermarkets! Heartline Cafe is also a favorite and is open every day.

re: janeh
We are going to be there on a Sunday - Easter Sunday in fact. Didn't realize that when we made our original plans. Will definitely look into Heartline Cafe. My sister mentioned going for a drink at the Enchantment Resort (?) for the views - is it worth it? We're staying at the Orchards Inn on 89a. Have never been so not sure of how close anything is. After being on a plane all morning and then the drive from Phoenix to Sedona - would love to be able to walk to dinner, etc.

Enchantment is beautiful, but at least a 20-25 minute drive from where you're staying, and you'll already have seen some pretty spectacular scenery on your way into Sedona. Heartline is just a few minutes away by car - if you don't have dinner there, consider trying breakfast on Monday. Cowboy Club is just across the street from the Orchards and Thai Palace is just a minute or two farther on foot. Thai Palace has lovely outdoor seating.
