Dinner suggestions for Oceanside?

I'm headed to Oceanside for a long weekend with my best girlfriends from college. We are looking for one or two good restaurant choices for dinner. We've got an eclectic group - one uber picky eater, one who doesn't eat pork, and five adventurous eaters. We would like to avoid tourist traps and driving in to San Diego for everything if possible. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Seafood Vera Cruz in Carlsbad Village is very good, if you like seafood.

If you have acar drive down to Encinitas/Del Mar/ La Jolla and you will have some good options, e.g. Blanca, Kitchen 1540, Georges, 9-10

333 Pacific - Cohen restaurant, but good solid food and great prices on vodka cocktails in the bar ($7)

New - try http://www.flyingpigpubkitchen.com/ they are still working out the kinks, but nice vibe, nice people, good food and fun beer and wine list. Not just pork.

I wouldn't miss Bull Tacos. Right in Oside, great food, good beer.

Azafran Cuban Food is one of the few places I can recommend in Oside with any kind of decent food and fun character. There would be something on the menu for everyone in your party, and at night, they often do music. http://www.azafrancubancuisine.com/

There isn't much in Oside, so remarks above are accurate: to drive into Carlsbad or Encinitas-- or even north to San Clemente, all of which have lots of terrific options (check those threads; SC is on the LA thread) If you're in Oside on a Thursday, they have a great farmer's market right in the heart of town with some good prepared food options, and a little crafty shopping.
