l'Ami Louis

  • 9

Who else read the April 2011 Vanity Fair piece on l'Ami Louis? It's a sarcastic and very funny hatchet job. I've never been to the restaurant. Can it be that bad? Curious about reactions.

  1. There is a thread on the Food Media and News board.

    1. It's probably one of the best restaurants in town, which tells you a lot about the author. Besides, word on the street is that AAG NEVER comes to Paris without visiting l'Ami Louis.

And PBSF is right: regular readers had "not again!" feel at reading the title of your thread.

Well, thanks so much, "regular readers"--you bet I mean it

Most of us us have a few well repected restaurants that we "Love to Hate". My list includes those places that "feed" tourists with huge portions; L'Ami Louis ranks near the top. Go if you must, the place depends on Anglos and expense account suits.

No expense account, and usually go with Parisians

        2. Excellent Article! ! Had a good laugh and I completely agree with the author.
