Lavender, Honey, Green Tea

schoenfelderp Apr 3, 2011 05:15 AM

New dish idea:

Lavender scented panna cotta, dots of wildflower honey, and SOMETHING GREEN TEA! garnished with a lavender blossom.

I can't figure out the form or texture that I want the green tea flavor to take.

Ideas?

I'd flavor the panna cotta with the green tea and plate it with a lavender simple syrup instead, made purplish with some berries. Hopefully the panna cotta will take on a light green color.

I came across a recipe for white chocolate/green tea brownies on this blog the other day:

green tea matcha biscotti? a small scoop of green tea ice cream? both might overpower the delicate lavender ... how about a touch of green tea foam / whipped cream / creme fraiche?

let us know how it turns out!

Good ideas, I really like the biscotti idea because of the textural contrast with the panna cotta, maybe even like biscotti crumbles
