Sheraton at BWI??

Has anyone ever eaten at the Sheraton at BWI Airport? We are looking for a decent place very near BWI for dinner -- to take some people flying in from CA right at rush hour. Ultimately their hotel is in Aberdeen but not a great drive at the time of their flight so thought we'd go to dinner "down here" first. Someone in the group said the crabcakes & other food at this Sheraton were great, and it's an office favorite of hers. I sure have never eaten there. I don't want to schlep this somewhat elderly woman all over after her flight from CA, then drive her up to Aberdeen, I'm assuming she'll be a bit tired. So looking for someplace with decent food, moderate price, very near BWI. She is not a picky eater, when she's been here before she did eat MD seafood, so that is an option.

Gunnings is an option, I guess.

Thanks folks !!

One of the women who will be eating with us is very finicky and suspicious of many restaurants (she worries about cleanliness, etc). Not saying anything bad about Grace Garden or Little Spice, I love both, but I just don't think they'll fly with her.

Doc - this person is flying in, assume we'll get dinner after baggage claim, not sure we want to venture back into the terminal, it'll be busy at that time of day (about 5PM).

Ahh, finicky eaters are so much fun.

If you're leaving from the Sheraton, the Elkridge Furnace Inn is about 5 minutes away via the scenic back roads.

Really? The one time I was at Little Spice, it seemed pretty "clean", good looking and well organized, if a bit spare in the decorating department.

I do agree with the post re Elkridge Furnace Inn, if you want something fancier.

Oh, Little Spice is absolutely clean and safe to eat at. The woman is suspicious of any "foreigners" and cleanliness. What can I say??? My husband and I are big fans of Little Spice, PLEASE don't misunderstand my post. It is the woman who will be eating with me (not the woman coming from California), with the problem. Her loss.

Batemans is before you go through security so once you get baggage it is a elevator or escalator ride away

pulled pork sandwich with extra homemade sweet and tangy garlic bbq sauce and fries at Bill Batemans in the main terminal at BWI is my go to place when flying out of BWI. Washed down with a large Blue Moon draft makes it an excellent pre flight meal especially when you are trying to kill some down time.

Back in the day when BWI was called Friendship Airport and the hotel was called The Friendship Hotel the restaurant in the hotel was called Bard's Tavern. This 10 year old future foodie was very impressed with their version of Steak Diane which they flambe' at table side. My parents owned a drugstore/liquor store near the airport and we would work a few hours on Christmas day morning they drive to the hotel (nothing else was opened and chinese food back then was chow mein and fried rice) for our annual meal before they put me and my sister on a Eastern Airline flight to Fort Lauderdale where we would stay at our parents condo for a week. great memories.

LOVE Snyders. Closest thing to a time machine i've ever found. And good food, too!
