need old town recommendation

looking for a locals breakfast spot in old town we have been to la madelines many times. we are in town visiting my son

for casual, the breakfast in north Old Town at Extra Perks is good, with a British flair http://www.extraperkscoffeeshopandcaf...
for more upscale, try Majestic on King Street. Delicious.

Fontaine Cafe and Creperie has yummy crepes and pastries, as well as other great choices. I love this place for breakfast/brunch. Seriously.

For standard breakfast fare, and a local scene for sure, try Table Talk on Duke Street.

If you want to venture over to Del Ray, Evening Star has a great brunch.

I second Fontaine Caffe - I think they have the best breakfast in old town. I also sometimes go to Le Pain Quotidien.

A little north of Old Town, but I've enjoyed the breakfast at the Buzz Bakery.
