Any Westchester/CT Restaurants with live MUSIC???
Hi,
Looking for restaurant suggestions where there is live music (ie: piano player, jazz etc) or some other type of fun entertainment. Some place where a few couples could go on a Sat. nite or (maybe even a Thurs. nite, etc.)
We are NOT looking for loud, crowded restaurants with college students and rock bands. :)
Just someplace in Westchester or Connecticut where "grown-ups" can go and have a good time.
Type of food less important.
All suggestions welcome!!!

The Outer Space in Hamden, CT. Paul Zunno is playing Saturday May 19th. He has an amazing one man acoustic show. You'll have a great time. http://www.thespace.tk/shows_theouter...

The Iron Tomato in WP had live music (and table service as well) last time I was there a few Saturdays ago. Not sure how steady it is, I think they were just trying it out. It was a very pleasant atmosphere. The music sounded like a mix of traditional Italian music and some rat pack tunes, ie Sinatra, Martin, etc.

If Southington, CT is in your range, Smokin' With Chris is a great BBQ restaurant with mostly live jazz on the week-ends.

And I'll also second the Bayou in Mt. Vernon even though they seem to be leaning more towards rock bands recently. As always, check ahead. -
There are many restaurants/bars in Westchester that feature live music, but as someone suggested, the genre varies. A good source to see who is where is a free publication called "More Sugar" (available at many bars that have live music) that has dozens of advertisements for places with music. Mostly you will find rock, but some jazz and folk places do exist. If you find a band/group that seems interesting, usually they will have a website where you can sample their music and see their gig dates. I second the Division St. Grill and 12 Grapes recs.

In Peeksill, Division Street Grill has nice music weekend nights and good food. 12 Grapes has music too, but it ranges from jazz to rock so you'd need to check to see who was performing. The Bean Runner Cafe has very good jazz, but the menu is more limited.

It IS sometimes loud (but not every night - especially on Mondays and Thursdays) but the Bayou in Mt. Vernon is always a good time. They have a variety of music - check out the April calendar:

You'd of course have to check but I believe Watercolor Cafe in Larchmont has live jazz and The Beach House in Old Greenwich ( it can be loud and crowded, but it is adults there) has some fun bands on certain nights of the week- I wouldn't say it's great food, but it could be fun if you know going in that it's a very casual menu.
Those are just 2 that come to mind. I am sure there must be more. I have to think about it...-----
