dinners for one near Villiers Metro?

J and V Apr 1, 2011 10:36 AM

I will be staying at a hotel on Rue de Constantinople for a week, close to Villiers metro stop. Wondering about local places in the area for dinner where a single person would be comfortable? Also, any particularly good cafe/patisserie suggestions for a coffee and croissant in the early morning when needing to get kick started over the jet lag for the day? Thanks in advance.

There's a Moulin de la Vierge on rue Lévis. And a good bakery at the corner of bd and rue des Batignolles.

Eating alone anywhere is almost never an issue.

L'Agapé, la Braisière or Le Bouchon et l'Assiette are good local eats, not too far. La Bigarrade too, but an impossible res.

L'Impatient is in the Passage and should be just fine. Or you can go to La Luna for their prix-fixe at a mere 60 Euros or so (gulp!). I advise a metro ride to more price effective areas.
