Looking for a place like Turkuaz on the UWS that has a buffet. Prefer lunch or Saturday brunch. Willing to travel all over Manhattan and possibly Brooklyn. Any ideas appreciated.

I work with a Turkish guy who is very particular about his restaurants (is there any other kind of Turkish guy?) and his current favorite is Ali Baba on 34th. Also likes Sip Sak and Turkish Kitchen.

Turkish Kitchen does a Sunday brunch buffet. Though we've been to T.K. too many times to count, we've never tried the brunch because I detest buffets.

I like Al Bustan on the East side, E 53 St. I don't know if they do buffet or brunch on weekends but they do have a nice "tasting" type menu. I've only had dinner there and find it is excellent authentic Lebanese/Syrian food.
