Delta flight delayed an hour @ LGA: should I try Dom DeMarco's son's pizza?

Or is there a better choice at the Delta terminal?

Sorry this response is late for you. I've heard that Custom Burgers by Pat La Frieda in that terminal is good. The place isn't really owned by La Frieda, but there's probably some licensing involved. Read about it here: http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2...

Tagliare was good when I first had it last year but on a second try last fall was not as tasty. The first time the cheese and sauce reminded me of DiFara but not on the second try. It is the first of what they hope will be a chain so maybe they are still experimenting. The Joe MacBu suggestion is the way to go. I have had that burger three times, as recently as last Thursday and it is excellent. That is a burger I would regularly eat if it was available near me.

I had the slice and found it entirely satisfactory: as good as most any slice found in the neighborhood. The distinguishing factor was the fresh basil, which served as the sole reminder of Dom's pies. Certainly the sauce, cheese and crust, while quite good, did not measure up to what would be found at Dom's store.

While I appreciate the endorsements of Pat LaFrieda's burgers, they fall on deaf ears, as I am not a meat eater.

I would say you enjoyed it more then I did, but we would probably agree that it is better then most food options at LaGuardia or other airports. However, last night at eight o'clock I arrived at Delta and walked right past Tagliare to departures where my family was waiting in the car and we drove about two minutes away to Amore in the Linden Shopping Center. A fresh out of the oven delicious pizza in a real local joint was the perfect welcome back to New York meal.

Absolutely. If you have the luxury of wheels and time, there are great options within minutes of JFK, LGA, and EWR. I stop at Sri on my way to or from LGA with friends or family. But, last Friday, I cabbed it to LGA and had an hour to kill. Tagliare was the best fit for me.
