Have you been to the Mother's Day Hilton Brunch? I've had dinner at the 76 and found the Hilton the better of the 2. Can't say about the others.

IMO it's only better if you want a food orgy brunch, favoring quantity over quality. And such a beautiful historic setting in 76 house also counts for points, Hilton feels like you're at a wedding or on a cruise ship..

That is true... the setting at old 76 house is def. better. For me as mentioned above, a buffet brunch brings me back to my childhood, lot's of great memories. & there's is
good as far as buffets go.

Thanks! We usually LOVE Restaurant X brunch but they don't do that on Mothers Day. I think we are going to end up at the Hilton. My grandparents will be with us so we were trying to avoid the buffets but it seems to be the only decent options...

I get so annoyed when places like X2O and Restaurant X do not have the normal Sunday brunch on Mothers Day

I second Restaurant X = an amazing experience. Endless cources, Did it for wifes 50th - all were delighted.

All the better restaurants that normally serve brunch will serve on Mother's Day, albeit with perhaps a "special menu", which is shorthand for "take advantage of a captive audience".

Are you looking for those indulgent carving station Brunches or a normal meal?

We usually go to the Hilton in Pearl River. I'd say it's on the equivalent of decent wedding food, + they have shrimp, omelets to order, carving stations, a large banquet room for big groups, smaller ones as well for smaller parties, dessert table, kids station, etc. I like it because it reminds me of the buffets I went to as a kid for holidays. Perhaps it's more of a nostalgia kind of thing for me.

We went to the Hilton as planned. The food as mentioned before is typcial of a wedding buffet. We've gone so many times now, that I've tired of the menu. It's the same thing year after year. Next year I'm going to find a new place. However I had a great time and a great day with my family. If you are going somewhere with a large group, it's a good bet.

we ended up at the Hilton also. It was a lovely brunch, but I completely agree that we are ready for a new setting for next year. We are a group of 19 so it is hard to find a place to accomodate all of us. Let me know what you find!

glad you enjoyed it. Were you at the 12:00 seating? We ate at 1:00 and there was a large group of about 20 in the main dining room. We were 4 seated a bit back. I'll let you know where we end up next year :)
