Schwa Corkage Question

I'm curious about the corkage at Schwa. Is it $2.50 per person per bottle, or just per person.
I.E. if 3 people come and you bring 3 bottles, is the corkage fee $7.50 total, or is it $7.50 per bottle?

I went to schwa last week and wasn't charged a fee. They did write "corkage" on my bill but didn't charge anything.

I've been to Schwa twice. One time I was not charged any corkage. The other time, I believe we were charged $10 total (4 people) for bringing 4 bottles of wine.

Schwa is quirky enough that I don't suppose there is a "standard" or consistent answer to the OP's question.

As noted in this article, it is illegal for a restaurant in Chicago to charge a corkage fee if they do not have a liquor license: http://timeoutchicago.com/restaurants...

Of course, at Schwa, the chances are that your reservation will get cancelled at the last minute due to alleged "plumbing problems", in which case it doesn't really matter... :)
