SHAKE 'N BAKE or Open Pit BBQ sauce...I'm so sorry and I do apologize. (1970s era)

As a kid, my mother would throw dinner in oven B4 we went to church on Sat. evenings. Get home and dinner was done (and house hadn't burned down); usually chicken parts or thin pork chops with a tater, and a veggie on stove (on low). This was B4 smoke detectors BTW!
Anyone else live this life?

  1. LOL - Shake and Bake pork chops are one of my guilty pleasures. We actually had them this week - terribly un-chowish, I know.

    My mom could never leave anything in the oven - too paranoid about burning the house down!
