Going Away Party

I want to give a going away party to a soon to be graduate student moving far away to study. Want a space with good food and a youngish, more or less, casual atmosphere. Any suggestions?

Budget per person? How many people? What part of the city?

Really do not know going rates. Maybe, around 50/60 (could be Sunday lunch or brunch). Anywhere in Manhattan. I would also consider Westchester.

Without some sense of budget (including tax,tip, beverages), cuisine, number of people, area....it's very hard to offer suggestions. It's too broad a request.

If you're talking about a party for 60 people....you probably need some kind of catering situation. But you'll need to know what you want to spend...
