Au Cinquieme Peche will relocate

I was at Au Cinquieme last night. Apparently this, or next (they were not certain at that moment), Saturday will be their last day before the close to relocate elsewhere, still in the Plateau area. They are still looking for a spot.
Just putting it out there in case someone wants to go before they close.

I only noticed after I posted this, thanks.

    2. That's too bad... I always really liked the building and dining room.

What's the reason for the change?

it probably has to do with landlord/rent issues, that coupled with the fact that the room could really have used another 10-15 or so seats in order to really be profitable, it's really hard to turn tables on busy nights with that few seats and in this city people don't really like to eat early or late.

I saw the restaurant for sale on a realtor's website.

      2. Update on Facebook :

«Fausse alerte, nous seront au 330 Mont royal est encore pour une couple de semaines... Ce n'était pas un poisson d'avril...»

The Lenglet brothers are to relocate in the spot formerly occupied by Restaurant le Vintage on St-Denis, south-east of Mt-Royal, in june if all goes well.

Well they never said they were closing for that reason...

One of my children took some outoftown visitors to new location on st denis a week ago and said it was a great success for all, even though they were not into the french bistro specialties on menu the lobster bisque, pasta and fish choices along with excellent wine suggestions made it a pleasurable evening. Told me it was small but had lots of charm + good food at reasonable prices and worth a return visit..
