Affordable, quiet anniversary dinner in Calgary
Hello all,
I've been browsing old threads for a while now, but I'm still struggling to find a restaurant recomendation that fits the bill. We have an anniversary coming up and are looking for somewhere to grab a nice dinner, without paying a fortune. We leave for the Napa Valley shortly, so I'll save the splurging for there!
Must haves: quiet, comfortable, good service, pescatarian or vegetarian options, and of course, good food.
Divino and Charcut popped into my head, but they can both be quite noisy. Alloy and River Cafe also were considered, but both are on the pricey side. Any other thoughts? Hidden gems? Location is not an issue.
Thanks!!

Buchanans chop house, on 3rd ave by the old senior frogs, sat and monday they do a 3 course dinner for 35.00 per person, they aslo offer a "make me an offer " on bin end wines which usually offer great value, food is fantastic service is top notch and it offers a real come as you are atmosphere, in a dress shirt and jeans or in opera clothes everyone is welcomed!

Muse in Kensington is romantic & quiet although may be pricier than you want, Chef's Table would fall into the same category. Perhaps the new Brasserie around the corner from Muse (same owners) would better fit the bill.

Perhaps FARM--if it's a weeknight, maybe it will be a little quieter.
Also, I love Boxwood Cafe but I've never been there for dinner. Beautiful park setting!
Lastly, I've heard good things about LeVilla in West Market Square (with the Sunterra), though I've never been. It was mentioned in the restaurant awards issue of Avenue magazine. French-style cuisine, if I'm not mistaken.
Here's the Avenue list: http://www.avenuecalgary.com/articles...
Also from the Avenue list: How about Vin Room for small plates?
