Best Restaurants of the University Health Network Neighbourhood

I'll start with Mercatto in the MaRS building and Midi Bistro at McCaul & Elm.

There is a Pizza place on the south side of Baldwin that appears to have been a Jewish Bakery at one time, it has good pizza.

John's Classic? It's been there for years but I've actually never been there,

          1. re: peppermint pate

Have never ordered the pizza, but the pasta I ordered at John's circa 2003 was not good ;-)

            1. re: prima

It was fine when I went in December or January. I think it was John's. We only ordered pizza and beer.

I particularly agree with Matagali - it's an oasis of calm - although service can be REALLY slow.

And if anyone is looking for places - particularly note the Google map near the top of the page - it shows the locations (some of which may be a bit further than anticipated).
