Birthday dinner

I'm looking for suggestions for my birthday dinner. We'll have about 12-15 people, and my ideal place would be small, cozy, fairly inexpensive ($30-40 a person not including drinks), BYOB. I'm really looking for a place like Terragusto, but without a set menu for a larger party. (Plus Terragusto makes you pre-pay for larger parties, which I'm not crazy about.) I'm open to any location around the city. Any suggestions?

We had a similar event recently at Mosouleh, a Northern Persian resto in Rogers Park. Varied and unique food, cute interior, friendly service, BYO, and room for your sized group in a long table format.

Another idea is Opart Thai on Western in Lincoln Square. Or Nano Sushi, another LIncoln Square BYO with great food.

Since you're looking for fairly inexpensive and BYOB, you may want to concentrate on ethnic restaurants, for whatever type of ethnic food you prefer.
