Recommendations for Special Occasion Restaurant

I'm looking for a good restaurant to go to for my graduation dinner - I have a lot of family coming in to town (party of 10 or 11) and would love to take them to some place that has great food and ambiance! In terms of price, looking at the $25-$35 range for entrees. Area isn't a huge concern, I was originally trying to find a place overlooking the beach but wasn't having much luck! Any suggestions would be really helpful!

The Lobster on Ocean, Catch at Casa Del Mar, or The Ivy on the Shore are all really great places with ocean views! Congrats!

If location truly isn't an issue, hit up Geoffrey's in Malibu. The view is worth it alone, and fits in your budget. Although, with a party of 10, you probably won't get to sit right next to the edge w/ the best views.

If you want steaks, not on the west side, Taylor's in Koreatown hits that point. Taylors also has a private room for 16 people, I think. with drinks and apps and tip it will be over your point but it is a good place and a part of LA History. Congratulations on graduating! Make sure you get a good job and make lots of money and pay the maximum into to Social Security system, I am going to need it!

westsidegal's suggestion of Cafe del Rey is the best option, at your price range, with a view.

for entrees in the $25 to $35 range, i'd go to Cafe del Rey in marina del rey.
( starters, beverages, dessert, tax and tip would be additional.)
nice views overlooking the boats in the Marina, too.
            good wine list
easy valet parking in the ATTENDED lot in front of the restaurant makes it easy for out-of-towners.
