My wife wants to watch baketball...really.

We're flying into midway at 6:30pm on 4/2 and have reservations at MK that evening. My wife has Butler fever and does not want to miss the game (tip-off coincides with our meal). Does MK have a TV at their bar...maybe we could eat at the bar? Other similar well thought of restaurants that would tolerate her need for final four viewing if MK does not fit the bill for Saturday night? No price limit and location Near North vs. Gold Coast.

I don't know offhand; hopefully someone else here does. But if you can't get an answer here - pretty quickly, since many places fill up in advance on a Saturday night - you might want to call MK to ask. 312-482-9179

Well, I have never met her but I like your wife already. You can call MK, of course, but what I think you really need is a more traditionally -- forgive me -- masculine restaurant. Someplace like Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. It has a bar/lounge with first-come seating and TVs. You can dine in the bar. Or the bar of one of the many steak houses downtown (see Yelp, Metromix for details). Not too many fine dining places in Chicago have TVs.

The game has a 5:09PM Chicago-time tip-off. I don't think you will need to worry about your dinner...barring something like a triple-overtime, the game will be over by 7:30PM.
