Bar in Packard Corner area

Greetings hounds....Looking to meet an ex-colleague for a drink this afternoon. Looking for a place with decent snacks that is open at 4pm (he has to get home early!)

Any suggestions?

    Not far from Deep Ellum is a place very near and dear to my heart ... The Silhouette Lounge.

      Deep Ellum. Not exactly Packard's Corner, but close, and both one of the best beer bars and best cocktail bars around.

          Strong second for Deep Ellum. Your only other option is the student-oriented roofie bars.
