Rice Cooker Basics

I got a small rice cooker at a yard sale--no directions, though.

It's got two inner metal containers--one about six inches deep, and a second about two inches deep that fits in the top of the first.

How do I use it?

Try googling for the specific brand of rice maker. The second container might be a steamer insert. Ours came with one. The amounts pmight depend on your specific rice cooker and the type of rice you're cooking, but we usually put 1 cup rice and 1-1/2 cups water and press the button for "Quick Rice". I think it takes about 30 minutes.
