Best Ouzo?

can anyone recommend a good Ouzo brand?

        El Massaya from Lebanon is nice. Comes in a blue bottle, so easy to identify. Known as Arak in Lebanon.

          If you are looking for an anisette, not necessarily from Greece. There are excellent ones from both Spain and Portugal. Chinchon from near Madrid, IMHO, is the gold standard. There is another from Asturias in NW Spain with a devil on the label that is excellent as well. Portugeuse ones often come with large block of rock sugar in the bottom of the bottle and wind up being lower in alcohol and a bit sweeter. All are quite inexpensive.

            My favorite is Sans Rival because it is a fair measure more complex than other brands of Ouzo.
            It was originally recommended to me in Athens by a Greek lawyer.
