  • 6

after looking at serious eats updates of donuts. i am feeling deprived, where are the great donuts in westchester?. i really like the small jelly at galloways and the jelly and boston creme at martine's in tuckahoe. in the past the cinnamon at schultz's cider mill were as good as remembered. but there must be more places and neeed some suggestions.DO NOT bring up dunkin donuts (pls). are any of the supermarket bakeries better than others?. they all seem to look good but... definitely too many to try

  1. Salingers farm off of 684 in Brewster has the fresh made donuts - cinnamon or powdered sugar. The Yorktown bakery in the Triange shopping center has a wonderful jelly donut - small with lots of jelly and toasty sugar on the outside.

I would also highly recommend both of winecountrygirls choices! Love the Yorktown Bakery jellly, but go early.

    2. The beignets at La Tulipe in Mount Kisco are amazing... basically fancy jelly donuts. They are filled with delicious preserves.

Also, I haven't had one in a while, but Sunshine in Ardsley always had donuts to put Dunkin Donuts to shame.

      1. I think they only have them on the weekends but the donuts at Kneaded Bread in Port Chester are phenomenal. Plain, cinnamon and powdered sugar - all excellent and when fresh and warm out of the oven, which seems to be most of the time - they are heavenly.

Also agree. Kneaded Bread's doughnuts (and pretty much all their food) are to die for.
