Weird stringy, chewy thing in brownies?
Occasionally I find an odd, very unappetizing chewy string in my brownies. It happens in both scratch brownies and those from a box. I thought it might be the chalaza from the egg because of the stringy shape, or perhaps an excess of cooking spray. It never happens with cakes or cookies or any other baked good. Any ideas what it is or how I can prevent it?
