Looking for lunch in Queens

Need suggestions for a restaurant for approx. 15 people after college graduation ceremony (St. Johns University, Queens Campus). Someplace we can relax and celebrate for a few hours. Thanks

Cheburechnaya and Nick's Pizzeria are both pretty close by. In the opposite direction you can get to Mumbai Xpress or Usha relatively quickly, but they don't have alcohol.

Gotta disagree on above suggestions---Nick's pizza is not a place you would hang out for "a few hours" and seating for 15 on uncomfortable chairs sucks.....nor is Cheburechn appropriate for extended stays...and the other places are not exactly festive to put it mildly......

Seems like the poster is looking for an Irish Pub type place, where they could eat, drink, and hang out, during the day when it there wouldn't be too many patrons waiting for a table----there are a few places like that, Woodhaven House in Rego Park might work--http://woodhavenhouse.com/privateparty.html

I think it would be better to just find a place with a private room, that way you can stay and your friends won't disturb others if they are drinking and getting loud.....if you want Forest Hills, check out Dee's http://www.deesnyc.com/

Further out on Union Turnpike in New Hyde Park is Luigi's which sounds perfect--I've not been, but they have excellent online reviews.

I agree i think 15 people woul shut down Nicks. The Woodhaven house is a great suggestion also Across the street is Baroso they have a full bar and can hang there.

London Lennie's (across the street from Woodhaven House) has better food than Woodhaven House (better bar). It's known for seafood but the steak is good too. There is plenty of space there.

Luigi's is a great call. I've thrown large parties there (avg. 20 - 30 ppl.) and the food, service and atmosphere were all terrific.
I haven't been to Dee's but friends recently had a party there and were happy with the food and service.
And one more - Trattoria L'Incontro on 31st St. in Astoria serves great food but can be noisy.

I think you are going to have to travel to Forest Hills Metropolitan Ave. On Metro. you have Many choices there are also some more places on Austin St. Do you have any preference in Cuisine?

No preference in food. Would prefer a bar/ alcohol served. Any specific suggestions in Forest Hills? Been to Danny Brown's wine bar and liked it. Thanks
