Help me finish my chicken

Started too late with my Crockpot standby of "Tiger Sauce Chicken": sliced onions, chicken breasts, Tiger Sauce poured over. Usually cook it about 8 hours in the crockpot but since I started late, I turned it on high to cook 4 hours. It's been 3 hours and the chicken breasts have only just gone white on the outside.

If I transfer the whole thing to the oven, what temp and how long would you recommend? These are rather fat half breasts (6).

Thanks

Well, here's how I would deal with it. I would cook it on top of the stove for about an hour, checking the temp with a thermometer to 160 or so,, which should have the breasts done nicely. You could also double that time to have the falling off the bone kind of breasts.

Oh, I should have specified that these are boneless, skinless breasts. You'd do on top of the stove, not in the oven? That never occurred to me, but I guess I could give it a go.

I think you could definitely do it on the stovetop, especially if you've got a deep skillet or saute pan with a lid. Depending upon the size of the chicken breasts I do think an hour might be too long since they've already started cooking. I'm thinking 35-45 minutes might be all they need, especially if they're just kind of average size.

I went with an hour because she said they were fat, but you're probably closer--temp will tell.

With big chicken breasts you never know. Better to err on the side of caution and too much time, but since they had already started to cook, I figured they wouldn't need as much time
