  1. High Ridge Fish in Yonkers off Central Ave used to have THE BEST fried shrimp!! I am told they are back to the original owners again ( from when I recall it being very good), so they might be worth a shot.

I wasn't sure if they still offered the shrimp and fries lunch but confirmed a few days ago that they do. Bought one for 8 bucks plus 1.25 for a half pound of cole slaw. Came with store mixed tartar sauce (lots of pickle) and ketchup packets.Pretty good indeed.

      1. I've looked for fried shrimp in Westchester with mixed results (click the link that Valerie posted). You probably want a New England fish shack, something Westchester lacks and lower Fairfield only has at higher prices (more mid than lower: Osetra, Westfair, Rowayton Seafood??? Haven't tried them but did some research).

        1. close your eyes as you sit outside at garden catering (on midland ave. in port chester) and pretend you are by the water- probably won't work. they do offer fried shrimp however and while not a seafood shack most of their fried food is pretty good. some may send you to leno's in new rochelle, but i don't even like their burgers so won't even try anything more "ambitious"

          1. Sono Seaport Seafood sounds like what you are looking for. It's a shack style restaurant on the water in Norwalk. Good fried shellfish, steamers, lobsters, etc. Not amazing but definitely good. Tried to link it but not attaching so including the in the post.

            1. Lonnie's Fish & Chips, Ossining.

I was there during the summer, went a little overboard after seeing the low prices and got a large fish and chips and a macaroni salad. The fish was way greasy and mostly breading. Some people here like the place though and that's fine. My usual pick for fish and chips around here is City Limits (more of a diner style than classic version, but very fresh). La Mer seafood in Armonk does it well, their cole slaw is kind of lame but they give you garlic bread and their lemonade is good and cheap.
