  1. Something rich and sweet. Always have something like blondies in the freezer.

    1. Trader Joes has various tasty Indian things that you can simmer in their plastic packages. The spinach one is my favorite.

Sharuf, I have seen these but have never purchased. Are these frozen or shelf-stable? Shaebones, you have me thinking to make a batch of blondies. I haven't had a good one in twenty years. Wow.

The Indian things are shelf-stable in plastic pouches.

The CI recipe for Blondies is the best!

        2. Chick peas, tahini and lemon juice in case I want to whip up a batch of hommus
Some camembert or brie in the fridge
          Nuts
          Crackers
Staples like sugar, flour, butter, eggs, etc - just because you can make so many things with them - pasta, pastry, cookies, cakes, pancakes, crepes, roux...

          1. A take-out menu

            1. This brings back very fond childhood memories, pinehurst! My folks ALWAYS had a big can of peach halves in the pantry to make my dad's signature broiled peaches if company dropped in. There's nothing fancy or highbrow about it, but it sure is delicious over ice cream!
