Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in the Greater Los Angeles Area (including Orange & Ventura Counties and SW San Bernardino County)

Anyone Been to the Jinky's in Agoura Yet?

I know they have the Sherman Oaks original location and I've been to the Santa Monica location and they have one in Studio City now too. Another breakfast option out in the west Valley can't be all bad.

  1. Not up to par. Long waits combined with weak service and cold food. Old NY bagel offers better service at a better price.

    1. Years ago, Jinky's Sherman Oaks had a nice vibe. I liked the wood floors. It was a good, casual place for breakfast with good service and good food. One could smell the coffee and that pretty much defines it.

Jinky's Agoura Hills is just another restaurant. Their menu is huge. They appear to be trying to be all things to all people for all meals and they are unable to deliver. When we were there with a table of 7, nothing was bad...but nothing was good. The owner was walking the tables while he uttered the expected "Is everything ok?" I could only nod and not form a specific answer because there is nothing "special" about it.

As gomermd4 mentioned, the lines are long. I would like to say that there are other worthy breakfast spots in this area, but I don't believe that. We often end up at Cici's in Tarzana or More than Waffles in Encino or Elite in Monterey Park!
