Okay FAL,
You scooped me. This means war... (kidding)
I went today and it really is fabulous! Well worth the wait. It is ein Central European Wunderland! - complete with regional folk music and half-timber Bavarian-looking décor.
They have stuff made by Karl Ehmer's, Forest Pork Store and a whole lot more. They have gelbwurst, teewurst, baby bologna, quark, goose liver liverwurst, veal liver liverwurst, bloodwurst, cervelat. Does the cervelat have the traditional zebu intestines as natural casings? Only her hairdresser knows for sure - but WHO CARES! It's here! It's here! It's all finally here!
I don't know if they make any of the other unlabeled meat products themselves. I wanted to ask but it started to get really busy in there as I was placing my order. I tried their German potato salad and liked it quite a bit with a good amount of scallions and bacon in it plus a nice tang (and plenty of potatoes too!). Also, it is the only store outside of Germany (and I have been looking) that carries, drum roll please, CURRY KETCHUP! I stocked up.
Best of all though, unlike most other meat stores here in the Fresh Pond/Myrtle nexus, it's open on Sundays (closed on Mondays though).
Ciao!

re: Daniel76
Hi Daniel76,
You're right. For ease, the address should be right here. Don't know why it didn't automatically include it when the name was mentioned.
The pork store is attached to the restaurant, which is here:
Zum Stammtisch
