Looking for something between the Omni Parker House and Hampton Inn Crosstown

First time visitors are going to Boston for the marathon, staying at seperate Hotels, would like to meet somewhere in between on the Saturday afternoon for drinks and possibly food. Something with some Boston character and chowhound worthy would be great. Thanks

Near the Hampton Inn: Estragon for excellent tapas. Near the Omni, Erbaluce for innovative Italian. In between, maybe Hamersley's Bistro or Myers and Chang.
